Sunscreen Film Festival West's successful run in Hermosa Beach ended after a decade of nurturing, promoting and screening works by independent filmmakers from around the world. Notably, one of the festival's signature events was its mentor program in which young filmmakers developed a film around local, historical places and events. Fueled 100% by volunteers, this festival had returning filmlovers and enthusiastic returning industry panelists. We wish to thank all of you that supported us year after year. It's time to get out there and push more boundaries, make more art, and connect with the creatives that we have had the fortune to meet through this festival.
